About

Please, together let us help our poor and needy brothers and sisters in Southern Cameroons

by Verra Ngwa

For 56 years, the people of Southern Cameroons, also known the English speaking Cameroonians or Anglophones, have been regarded as 2nd class citizens in a country in which they were supposed to have equal values and standards. These 56 years of agony have been characterized by marginalization, tribalism, bribery, corruption, envy, hatred, brutality and killings orchestrated by the regime of dictator Paul Barthelemy Biya Bi Mvondo on the people of Southern Cameroons. Southern Cameroonians came into this union on equal terms with the people of La Republique du Cameroon (LRC) but as the days went by the equation which seemed balance from the beginning suddenly became unbalance. Southern Cameroonians persevered for a very long time hoping that this union will yield the required fruits but as time went on, things rather moved from bad to worst.

On November 21st 2016, Southern Cameroonians stood up as one person and organized a peaceful protest so that the wicked regime of dictator Biya of LRC will see into their cries. This peaceful protest ended up in a blood bath. Southern Cameroonians were killed, raped, maimed and arrested by the Biya's military men. A military that was supposed to protect its harmless citizens instead, they shot and killed them in cold blood. Others were arrested and carried to prisons in LRC where they are been charged with terrorism thereby standing the risk of a dead penalty while others were abducted and carried to unknown destinations. Some have been murdered and buried in mass graves in LRC. Since then, schools and courts have been shot down as Southern Cameroonians request for a complete restoration of their statehood (Southern Cameroons, Ambazonia). For 74 days now and counting, the internet has been cut to cover up the genocide taking place in this part of the country. We therefore call on all well-wishers and Southern Cameroonians in the diaspora to support our poor and needy brothers and sisters back home. Thanks for your support as we struggle to restore our statehood Southern Cameroons, Ambazonia, which will guarantee a better tomorrow not only for Southern Cameroonians but the world at large. God bless you!
